Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Of those two choices, client list would carry more weight. But that's not the most important consideration. For creative positions, it comes down to the work. There would likely be considerable correlation, someone working with noteworthy clients is likely doing superior work. But it all comes down to what someone has produced, it's not a matter of name dropping clients and having that alone open doors.
At a Senior CW level the work. But every agency is different and there are plenty nowadays that won’t look at your book without awards.
