What’s the Big4 policy for candidates to apply to different groups after a rejection? Recently interviewed for a group that’s not from my background and wasn’t selected but now trying to selectively apply for a couple of jobs where I have a great match. Is there anything like a cool off period that I should consider?

PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

Just don't mention that you interviewed with another group. Lie if you need to. There's no way they can find out. In reality, big4 companies are a bunch of groups together where no one cares about what other groups do
Thank you

I don't think there is one if its a different groups. They have different pipelines. I have a friend who interviewed for both PwC and S& at the same time. He only got one offer so I don't know if they talked but its always okay to reach back out and ask the recruiter you worked with if you had one and inquire on the policy.
Thank you
When you apply to Deloitte or EY, they assess you for the specific position. Getting a No from one role does not in the least automatically disqualify from other (unless you are a walking red flag 🚩).
As D1 said above, don’t mention in another interview that you applied to other roles. Chiefly because it’s irrelevant.
Good luck 🍀
Thank you
KPMG only allows one active opportunity pursuit at a time. I ran into that when I boomeranged.
Thank you K1.
I interviewed for 3 jobs at D at once. Nobody noticed because it was 3 separate pipelines. Granted, I withdrew from the other 2 after I got the offer I wanted... I wouldn't want to turn one practice down and have to tell them I went to another practice.
