Hi Fishes, I have an interview with PwC AC in the coming week. My tech stack is Power BI, SQL, SSRS,SSIS and Tableau. YEO -4 Current CTC is 9 LPA. During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

hey folks, I am going to join Oracle ossi in Hyderabad location. I have never been to Hyderabad, and will be relocating. Please guide on what would be good areas to look for rent. Also, what would be rent like for 2/3 bhk. Ideally my budget for rent would be <25k. Initially I will be going but in future my family will join me once I am settled. Any points to note or any other gotcha to keep in mind ? Please suggest.

Stick to EY if you can. PwC Houston has VERY high turnover and, in my opinion, the talent is not what you might see compared to their other offices. They are widely known to be the easiest to get an offer from. That being said easier to advance and stand out.
Agree with partner issues as well. At an ethics training (pre-Covid) several partners showed up with alcohol saying how big of a “waste of time it was”. That being said I think there will be good and bad partners everywhere.
That’s fair, good luck OP. If staying at EY doesn’t work out you can always switch! Easier to go that route than taking a chance elsewhere and having to boomerang. I think you will like EY though, I think their Houston office is growing I believe they are either renovating or expanding their office. I have mostly heard good things.
Houston audit is definitely one of the busier assurance practices. I haven’t really seen any culture issues but I have a very narrow scope as I’ve only been here a couple years.
Thanks PwC 1. As long as the culture is friendly with patient and kind people who want to coach their team, I am ok with working long hours.
Assuming you're FS, your client pool is going to be pretty small (some jobs will be large though). Generally speaking, I'm not super impressed with the talent in that group but maybe my experience with them isn't representative. Long term, being in CIPS or EU&M is where your opportunities are going to be imo.
Agreed that the practice seems to busier than most but not too bad. If you navigate the general politics and produce you'll be fine.
I would be coming in at a manager level.
