Hi fishes🙂 👋🏻 I got an offer from Larsen & Toubro Infotech today for the position of 365 Functional Consultant. But the designation offered is 'Senior Engineer - Cloud Services and Software' whereas in PwC my designation: 'Technology Consultant' & designation of offer in hand(IBM) :'Advisory Consultant'. So will IBM consider my Larsen & Toubro Infotech offer as a counter offer? My fear is whether they will say 'you r offered a different role hence we cant consider'.Will it matter that much?

I think it’s well known Deloitte is the top amongst the big four at human capital consulting, but how do yall think EY (PAS), PwC (OWT), and KPMG (People & Change) measure up? Interested to hear differences in offerings, scope, industry, size, culture, etc..

What are this group’s thoughts on ESPPs? I recently switched to a large tech company that offers one @ 10% discount of market price. Already receiving ~15% of annual TC in RSUs so wondering if that’s too much exposure to one company, even if I do believe in their future.

I’m at a crossroads where I determined I don’t want to be partner, but stay because I’m sales minded, like recruiting, training, etc...am ok at accounting but it’s extremely boring. As a single 29 year old male with no debt and a solid savings, does it make sense to stay on the safe route and go into a typical industry gig or go into something completely different such as recruiting, sales, project management? Any advice?

Attempting to leave my terrible job that I have been at for less than 6 months. The job I’ve accepted would like me to start in 2-3 weeks but I see in the handbook for my current (awful) company, requires 30 days notice or they withhold wages. Advice? The faster I can leave the better.

Threads disappearing... I have noticed a bit of a disturbing trend in which threads are ‘disappearing.’ At first, I thought strictly because the exchanges had become overtly hostile, but today note that at least three threads in which hostility was lacking but that a very specific desired narrative was being decimated have been withdrawn. Feeding a bubble chamber is neither healthy nor professional.

Very unpopular opinion: humans need to stop reproducing. On average, A human life will suck and you’re putting them in a constant living hell. They would be better off not being born.

Feeling really sad about friends I have drifted apart from despite efforts to stay in touch. My best friend from high school and I haven’t seen each other in about 4 years, I messaged her a year ago, got a nice response from her, and I tried keeping the convo going but she left me on read. Offered her and her boyfriend tickets to join me and my boyfriend at a concert in fall 2019, left us on read with no response. Her bday was last week and she left my bday wishes on read too. I’m so sad.

I’ve officially lost all hope that we’re ever going to get back to the way things were before until we have a vaccine that provides immunity to the virus. How do you deal with depression? Right now i feel so low and nothing too look forward to. Pre covid I struggled but now it’s gotten worse. I have lost lot of money in stock market(not all life savings but enough to lose sleep), bored at work, bored in life etc. Right now I am just not excited for anything in future. I understand I am lucky as I still have a job and loving family and many people have it much worse than me.

Every weekend feels more and more depressing as this pandemic goes on. I've been social distancing strictly since early March but I'm starting to care less because I'm so inefficient & drained

I had 3 webex interviews with the same link. The first worked great but the final 2 were no shows, the “join meeting” button never lit up when a host starts the meeting again.
HR claimed that the interviewers did in fact go the meetings, but that there could have been a connection issue. As someone who works in digital media, I feel as though the interface is rather simple and the error is not on my part or the app. Have you had any no-show web interviews? Issues similar? What are your thoughts?
