What’s the etiquette for awards? Let’s say you lead a huge campaign that just launched and it’s bound to win awards. But then you take a new job a month later. Can/should the agency still list the you as a key contributor? Or is that bridge burned?

If they are decent humans they should and will credit you 100%. Stay in contact with some people and shoot them note closer to awards season.

like

Yeah it really comes down to if the people still there are considerate enough to go out of their way to do so.

like

They absolutely should - but, at least make sure you post about it when it comes out and are on the credit list in the trades. That way if you get left off the award credits you’ll still have something to point to if you need it.

like

Can they? Yes.
Should they? Sure.
Will they? TBD.

If you led award winning work, you led award winning work. Put it on your resume, mention it in your interviews, update your portfolio, add a line to your LinkedIn bio and continue to be great.

like

Please don’t add award wins or rankings in your name on LinkedIn. Self promotion is ok but that’s a whole other level of neediness.

Etiquette? Any work done at that past employer agency is owned by said client for said agency, if you left you left, they aren't going to credit a past employee.

like

Okay well most of this thread is giving me hope. Good to know there are some companies that honor key contributors when it comes to awards

They should. A few agencies that still have integrity would give you credit.

like

Everywhere I have ever worked did their best to credit people who have left. I always credit freelancers too. But regardless of the best intentions, sometimes people get forgotten.

like

They should. The credit list should reflect who worked on the project, not who still works at the agency.

What's your ideal PTO? Activity and length of time off?

Hi All,

I joined
Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

Could be a silly question — i am beginning to look for a new apartment in the city and ideally want to rent from private landlords rather than going thru Apartment People / @ Properties / Compass, etc. How do you find private landlords?! Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?

I’m new on the job search and still employed. I’m looking to grow further in the logistics industry. While I look for work, it’s a bit discouraging seeing how hundreds of people apply for positions I see on LinkedIn. I still apply because you never know and AI plays a huge effect in selections. Should I even bother applying when there are more than 100 applications?

Hi 🐠 🐟!
I made solo reservations for Ever and Oriole in early October for Nov 4th and 5th. It's looking pretty dire that I'll be able to get in. Did anyone make a reservation at a Chicago Michelin restaurant and have someone drop out at the last minute? I would love to take their spot.

Thanks in advance!

I have a great opportunity on the table that’s currently work remote with the end goal of returning to the office 1-2 times a week when it’s safe. However, after the past couple months, I don’t see myself returning to live in the big city. Has anyone requested to work fully/mostly remote with a new offer? How did it go? How did you request it so it seems beneficial? Thanks 🙏🏼

I've seen quite a few people make jokes about being "aged out" of advertising. Could someone please explain what that looks like and when that typically happens? Forgive the dumb question, I'm a newbie to the industry so I'm a bit confused. Wouldn't agencies want people with more experience?
