What’s the logic behind corporate leaders desperately wanting people back in the office?

I have been working far more hours since the pandemic and am far more productive at home because I used to commute 2 hours a day and I am now working those hours, or I used to talk to co-workers during the day and I work those hours now.

Did anyone work for the BORN group, want to know the work culture, perks, job security & WLB.

For those of you in hybrid roles, what two days of the week are best worked from home? TIA

Can (Should) we all as employees decide that we don't want to get back to offices 5 days as week post this COVID19 fiasco is done and dusted.?

What's the point? If we are able to deliver results, work and progress from home, then why do we need to be shackled back into the monolithic corporate systemic enslavement?

Maybe stick with 1 or 2 days of office for Important F2F meeting, with rest WFH?

What do you all normally do in your downtime at work? I used to be in a high stress, high tempo office but moved to a better paying role with much less responsibility. I’m still adjusting to have all this free time on my hands and need something to keep me busy throughout the day.

In terms of WLB and less stressful job, which one is better? to move in management role or stay in technical after having 11 yrs of experience.

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

We're not sure what those incentives look like yet, but here are some post-announcement rumors from my co-workers:
