I currently work as a 2L for a small firm that pays below the average rate for law student clerks. I’m grateful they even pay me what they do. However, I’d love sound advice for asking for a raise.

I got offer from Deloitte for around 14.5 (fixed + variable) for 4 years of experience in SAP.

I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break.
