So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I think only recent college graduates do this. After 2-3 years out of college, it doesn't matter anymore
Looks like you’re right! It should just be removed entirely IMO unless it’s a position tied to a scholarship. 😅
I haven't put my GPA ever on any job applications I've sent in the past. I don't know if it's a plus points for others, but to me it doesn't matter what your GPA is.
I usually skip it as well but I was curious what the purpose is.
It's a good way to demonstrate your academic ability and your work ethic but some hiring managers are more interested in work experience, skills and how fit you are for the company culture
I can understand that. I guess it doesn’t make sense to me for anyone 30 and above to have to list their GPAs.
I didn’t even know that was a thing.
Yup! Not every application has it but I’ve come across several!
i guess it could show your dedication to learning but as a hiring manager I don’t even look at it
That’s what I thought. I think it’s odd that’s even on applications.
That seems so random. Most employers do not need ot know that information. That does not put one potential employee over another. What kind of positions have you seen this one?
I’ve seen this on all types of roles from my early career to now such admin coordinator, operations manager, program manager, etc.
