my cousin is working as a design engineer(related to mechanical engineering). He is havjng 4+ YOE for the same role. He has done diploma in data science from IIIT-Banglore in UPGRAD. Now he wants to look for an oppurtunity in IT field. If they are not grooming you for the next step (and I’m assuming they’re not bc why else would you be online asking) then it doesn’t really matter what you say or do. This is where politics begins and paths are paved. If you are not one of the mentees then you will have to work above and beyond the next man to get recognition (think, CEO awards with company retreats).
This is kinda what women or POC talk about - they don’t have that connection and don’t have the inside track on a path upwards (or sometimes outright excluded). I would say continue doing what you’re doing - gaining valuable skills and perhaps take those skillsets elsewhere.
Ask HR as they will have a say in whether you are promoted, or not. If no one is saying anything informative, it's a red flag, and a sign that you should consider looking elsewhere for a promotion.
