Hi fishes, in a dilemma....switched to a Big4 from MNC(almost 7 years of exp) in April 2020. The pay was normalised at 15.5LPA. Will get the package revised next month to 16.25 LPA. Now Deloitte has approached, so can I ask for 30%pay hike considering the switch will happen after completing almost 11-12 months in my current organization or can I ask for more than 30%, depending if I get a senior consultant or manager role? Also will the switch within a year have any negative impact?

I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. It’s busy all the time and I get to experience all different types of apps, OSes, and almost every aspect of IT in this way. I make around 50k which is alright but its hectic as there’s too many tickets and not enough personnel. I heard this is common but I’m not sure.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. Have an offer from a dream company but I'll need to go in at a lower level. Knowing that I can bring a lot of value to the company (read- I know my worth), I negotiated with the hiring manager to have a level/comp review 6 months after employment. If I hit all my goals (ie, prove myself) within that time frame, I'll get a promotion and salary adjustment.

A year ago I moved to an HCOL area to accept a new position, however, I do not go into the office daily. I just go whenever my team needs to be in office. Was wondering has anyone moved out of an HCOL area to save money on rent and was it frowned upon when your firm found out?
