There’s culture?
I honestly like the culture here way more than I did at Deloitte. I feel like everyone is super transparent about how you’re doing and there is a culture of learning and asking questions and at D I always found out how I was doing from a random scatterplot
It was a short engagement. But most categories were relevant and NA just demonstrates laziness and unwillingness to develop your team. I was surprised a Director would have that type of response. When I asked for feedback (before AERT was completed) they said “you’ll see my detailed answers and commentary on AERT”; then he proceeds to submit all as NA.
1) Things are transparent
2) Great work life balance
3) Firm is very much family oriented
K4, Please discuss with your PML
Management saying they care about your work-life balance and then 30 seconds later expecting you to stay at the office for an all-nighter team working session without complaining. I would also get phone calls on Saturdays asking when I would be coming into the office, not because we needed to collaborate on anything, but because everyone else on my engagement team (Associate - Mgr) was there.
Ahem.

KPMG?
Of the Big 4, probably has the best "normal times" culture
Hard to generalize. The consulting practice I’m part of in a Midwest city is down to earth and friendly. But your day to day is dependent on your project team, project leads, type of project, client etc...so I guess like any other consulting role.
Sensible reply but there must be specifics to KPMG, no?
I love it here
There were times (3 or even 4!) in the past 5 years when I did not hate it here...The rest of the time though....<sigh...>
