Where the SNES players at?
I am reaching out to you all and am looking forward to break into Investment Banking from Consulting. Applied to Goldman Sachs via a referral but my resume is stuck after HireVue. Talked to the VO who referred me and he said Goldman doesn’t hire in Q4. If that’s true and still need to be in GS, can someone forward my resume directly to the team? Their career portal sucks. TIA Goldman Sachs PS: I promise a dinner in a dance place in NY after I get hired as a sign of my gratitude 🙈

First thing. Define where you want to go in your different career seasons.
Too often people define their career as runnong away from something instead of pursuing something.
Ask yourself, what impact do you want to have in the world. What sre you good at. what do you research in your free time.
Read, be curious, experiment different things and first decide what you want, instead of what you dont want.
If you have no desire to be a career consultant, you want to get out of doing erp implementations. You’ll get promoted and be too expensive for industry or go to industry keeping same salary with little upside because you’re a cost center at a company. Find a way to use your experience and migrate towards a new role where your exit opportunities point to revenue centers rather than cost centers. That will give you more options.
