What’s your take on actors or directors who “cross over” into other roles? I’ve worked on sets where actors suddenly wanted to “try producing” and directors dipped into writing, and while sometimes it’s inspiring, other times it feels like they’re stepping into jobs that trained professionals are struggling to land. I get that being a multi-hyphenate is part of the hustle now, but I wonder if it strengthens the industry or just waters it down.

Doesn’t bother me at all. The more people who learn how other roles work makes the smoother the process for everyone.

It’s not a problem if it doesn’t step on anyone’s toes, I think if it starts getting in the way of other people actively it can be an issue.

Are you referring to smaller projects or larger projects? For the big films it doesn’t faze me at all, it makes me analyse the film more to see what the actor is capable of!

On smaller projects it might definitely be stepping on people’s toes!

I work 2 part-time jobs. I just requested a pay raise at my ABA job which they approved on by 10%. My other job is in Mental Health has a flat rate with no chance to request a raise, turns out I'm not required to work the full 20hrs/Week meaning that when there's no work to complete I won't be getting paid. I've only been here 8months & want to leave as I need the money. Should I start looking elsewhere even if I haven't been here for a year?
