Reset? Aren’t we on accrual per paycheck?

From what I understand there are no reset days. Your PTO rollover every yearly until you reach 30 days or some number around there. Your floating holiday doesn’t roll over though so use that before PTO

Thank you adept c!

I averaged 250+ billables for Q1. Took a vacation in April and since being back, work has been pretty chill (~35/week) and I havent taken any new work. However, I am finding myself not very productive and the smallest things are taking me way longer than they should. Cant get myself to do these things but then that makes me anxious. Feeling stuck. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation and what did you do? I’m a junior associate in corporate.

Going from audit to advisory to a competitive firm after 1 year of audit. However, start date is not until Jan 10 at new firm. When do I put in my 2 weeks given the holiday break and busy season beginning? Note: I’m not looking for a “take three weeks off as a mental break” type solution. My wife is still in grad school, so I’m the only earner and we will have lots of loans soon. so even missing 2-3 weeks of pay is missing out on a big opportunity of loan pay down.

Do industry accountants take vacations that are 2 weeks+? I rarely see my clients go on a long vacation but that’s probably due to the audit cycle so I’m curious. Even on Christmas Break some of them are already sending emails on the 26th.

Moms, we have been invited to a social gathering this Saturday at 6 PM. It’s my husbands side of the family, and while I am okay going but I do think it’s wise to leave in an hour so that we can come back (around 45 mins ride back) and do bedtime. My 13 mo goes to sleep at 7:30 PM and we have been diligently pulling his bedtime to 6:30 PM over this week for daylight savings. Am I wrong in my approach here? How do you approach evening gatherings? My son gets really irritated when overtired cont

I just ordered my first Chanel! I never got myself a milestone gift before, but I just found out I passed my fourth and final section of the CPA exam, exactly one month before my 30th birthday. And I busted my butt for it, while working 50+ billable hours a week. I wanted to get something that will remind me of this feeling for years to come. I hadn't decided on a Chanel until I absolutely fell in love with the quilted Trendy CC. I'm ecstatic!
