When I was in boot camp for the Coast Guard, there were a lot of people who had been held back for six months or more; is this really common? Or maybe just at that location?

Truth is, reversions are handed out like candy and many people are usually there for 9 to 15 weeks. It's considered one of the most difficult out of them all second to the Marines for a reason. Not heard of 6 months though.

Hmm. That's new to me. I'm aware of extra weeks but not 6 months.

6 months is not common. I am not sure about the other location. But definitely too long for a reversion.

The fact that there were a lot of people who had been held back? Yes, that's common. As AO1 said, it is one of the most difficult. But I haven't heard of 6 months or more.

Hello folks,
I have an offer in hand by value labs and Accenture and I’m more leaning towards valuelabs. However, I’ve seen a lot of comment online which were made in 2022 and before as well that the job security is an issue in value labs and they will fire a chunk without any prior notice.
Is it true?
I would really appreciate if anyone can shed some on light on this.

This bowl used to be quite toxic, so much so that there were a couple of splinter confession bowls. There's now some relative sanity here, and some credit goes to BL's leadership.

I feel at peace now, in somewhat of pain because of the breakup but I am at peace now.

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

What comp can we expect to target after 2 YOE? I’m not miserable in consulting but don’t think I get paid enough. With my promotion in a month, I’ll be hitting 100k and I want to only leave if I can get 110k or more (going for strategy, PM, and a few startup roles). Is that realistic? whens the best time to leave for max comp in the long term?
