When interviewing for new role what matters to you most? What questions / answers help you see the “full picture”?

What is the person who accepts this role expected to accomplish within the next 3 months, 6 months, year, 2 years? Sometimes the answers are just ridiculous.

This! I knew my current job was a dream when my future boss answered this question by saying “6 months is a learning period, I would just expect you to be more confident in what you do.” I’ve never heard anyone acknowledge the inevitable learning curve that comes with a new job, and it showed that she was a super patient and flexible person.

I interviewed a guy this week and he asked two people on my team who were in the room if they were proud of their work. I had never heard that question before and loved it. What an interesting angle to take when evaluating fit.
