Agreed. For me personally, I also consider reasonable WLB.

like

Exactly! WLB is so important, especially as I get older

Flexibility. None of that means jack if you get treated like a high schooler who wandered from the class line walking to the library.

So true!

Health insurance! This can cost thousands extra/less per year depending on what’s available.

So true!

WLB, location/commute, PTO, benefits, I also like to get an idea of how long most people on the team have been there & how high turnover is

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

My employers' CEO just announced that they just received $7 million from investors. He wants to use that money to offer incentives to employees that hussle and drive more revenue for the company. We're not sure what those incentives look like yet, but here are some post-announcement rumors from my co-workers:

Cash bonuses, raises, profit-sharing, company equity, 401k match, etc.

Do you work the holidays into your lesson plans this time of year? Or is it too much of a distraction from your routine?
