Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA

Promo from top of one level usually is to bottom of the next level. 5-10% usually
Agree with CD1. The reason you get promoted is because you've proven you are at the top of your current level. However, you are NOT at the top of your level in the next position up. You are starting the cycle over, so you should expect to be in the lower part of your position's salary band.
It is literally not a big deal bc if they can't do it, they'll tell you. If you've gotten a promotion, presumably it's because you are good at your job, so it's not like they'll hold it against you.
do not base your salary increase on anything but you and your experience. fuck what you're making relative to someone else. if you're making $60k at the "top of your position" and get promoted, you should expect a reasonable increase, not just $3k to get you into the next "bracket". not everyone warrants getting paid at the top end of their position's range and because you are, don't sell yourself short in want to expect next. they could've paid you less in your current role but they didn't. idk your level but $10k at least increase at junior levels, more as you get more senior.
Everything is a negotiation. Often you get a promo because they want to make you happy but don't have money. So no increase. It's about what you make happen not what you get offered automatically
For added context, I just got promoted - was at the high end salarywise for my previous position, and got a 15% bump. Never hurts to ask.
