Chief
I luckily hit a couple of short freelance gigs almost immediatley, but it took about three months to get a new fulltime gig. Salary went up, but I was laid off as a mid and got a senior role.
Rising Star
6 months.
Salary stayed the same.
Freelanced in between.
I just started freelancing and never stopped, so I guess I never found a new job? But I have gotten offers, definitely for more money. It took me just a month or two to get little meager freelance gigs but about 6 months until I found a longer term substantial one that actually paid my bills more than unemployment.
It took about 3 months, but I was actively looking so that cut down the time. I think 6 months if I started right from when I quit
It took me two weeks, but I was already interviewing because the writing was on the wall (fall of 2020 and the agency had lost two accounts, one of which was mine). I got a raise and landed on a much better account.
I was laid off about 10 days before Christmas, which I think slowed the job hunt because I really didn't many callbacks until after the New Year, but I was employed by the end of February but took a small pay cut. But I went from upper management to middle management
First time 4.5 months and salary went down a lot but I switched departments. Second time - a little over a week and it did not go down. Went up slightly during freelance full time and then was made full time 3 months later and went up again
3-6 months is typical. I have never reduced my salary when taking a new position.
