When’s the right time in an interview process to bring up a past DUI if an application doesn’t ask about past criminal charges? I have 8 years experience, the DUI was 10 years ago (college) and I haven’t dealt with this since joining PwC way back when. Do you be forthcoming during interviews, bring it up in conjunction with authorizing a background check, deal with it on the back end, etc? It’s old enough that hopefully isn’t going to be a big deal but unfortunately it will follow me.

Just realized I hadn’t had an in-person interview since 2019. I’ve done multiple zoom interviews and was onboarded remote in 2020. About to see a real person today! Wish me luck.

Im a rising junior and finding a lot about recruiting process lately and I applied for few internships as well. I heard people say to practice 25 cases. If so, am I already late? Do you have any advice on how i should manage my time preparing?

I recently interviewed for a small strat consulting company (energy industry). I have 3 YoE and would be moving from engineering. the HR person asked me what my salary expectations were I was caught offguard and said I would expect it to be at least what I make now (around 100k). Im now worried theyll lowball me because I really shouldve asked for 120+bonus (I think this is market rate?) But they have salary bands they follow right?So if they pay consultants 140 usually would they offer me 100k?

Currently controller for a $120M PE backed company. Interviewing for a Director of Accounting role for a $1B PE backed company. Would be almost fully remote. Probably around 30-40% salary increase ($40k+). Currently have equity that would cash in upon a change of ownership in about 2 years (likely worth upwards of $200k). Change of industry from restaurant to CPG. Thoughts?

Once you get into a FAANG company, is it better to stay where you are or move around? I’m a dissatisfied with my current job but I have vesting stocks, work 9-5, and people to know and respect me. I am the sole provider for my family and value quality of life and stability. I have some interview requests from other FAANG companies that I know pay more but I worry about starting over. Anyone switch companies and either regret it or are glad they did?

How do you folks describe your deals in resume/ interviews/ LinkedIn while stopping short of naming client/target? If you describe the acquirer and target, it’s pretty easily traced to the exact deal.

Today I got an email from TCS to complete an ibegin registration. Whenever I login, it is asking me to enter PAN details and mail ID. If I give, it is giving a warning that my account is already present in ibegin and telling me to login with another email ID. As if I remember, one of the consultancy, used my PAN to register in ibegin but I’m unable to login since it is registered by their mail ID and my PAN.

Looking to transition out of Management Consulting and going into big tech in NYC. Ideally, I would love to go in as a PMM; however I’ve heard it’s very difficult to make that jump if you don’t have a degree in engineering or CS (I’m a liberal arts graduate and in the final year of a part-time mba).
