Is it okay to put down papers once I receive the letter of intent from a company? The offer letter would be shared post successful background verification and medical checkup. Is there anything else I could do on my end to reduce the risk associated?

Sapphire Reserve
Sapphire Reserve >>
Sapphire reserve. It's the latest cult you want to join.
Marriott rewards
Chase sapphire reserve. It has a 100k ultimate rewards signing bonus once you spend 4K in 3 months. If you can hit that spending limit, this is the card for you. The annual fees is $450 but they give you $300 per calendar year towards travel (which is automatically credited to your account as you spend on travel). The return is great on travel and food compared to many other cards. Amex is trying to compete but so far I haven't seen anything that stands up next to the reserve.
There are just so many cults and so little time. Must collect all the business travel reward programs.
My go to used to be SW Visa - but since I moved, I don't fly SW as much as I used to. I get more benefits from Sapphire now - and you can use the Sapphire points for SW as well.
What!? Why would you ever pay an annual fee of $450?
^ The 100k points = $1500 on UR portal. Plus the $300 travel credit and the point conversion on other purchases is the best out of all issuers.
$450 annual fee is basically negated by the $300 travel credit. Credit that goes towards train tickets, uber rides, etc. pretty easy to get to $300 worth of travel in a year.
Does anyone have the citi prestige or citi thank you premier? Currently have an Amex platinum and thinking of getting a citi card. Any experiences to share?
Another vote for Reserve. 3 points on dining and travel. They are *very* lenient in what they consider dining and travel. Spend $40 at a local bar and take a $10 uber home? 150 points right there. Seamless gets 3x, random Ubers count towards the yearly credit. Plus the pay for global entry and you get priority pass as part of the bundle. You're effectively paying $150 year for this plus you have some of the most valuable rewards points of any card.
What do you currently have OP
Sapphire
Due to my main routes, SW Visa and it has been very rewarding if I want to fly SW. Earned companion pass. However, I think I could have earned that from flying alone.
Sapphire
If I only had to carry one card I'd say Chase Sapphire Reserve but I like also carrying the American Express Blue Cash Everyday to cover things like gas, groceries, etc and the Amex offers have also saved me quite a bit too
My current card has annual fee of 100 but I easily earn a few round-trip tickets worth of points a year, if not more. At 350 to 500 a ticket it pays for itself. So if rewards were high enough, a 450 annual fee could be a sound investment. This all assumed that you pay balance in full monthly. All about the float earn more money while money stays in your bank account for more days than if you paid direct and earn rewards via charging. Plus insurance etc.
