1) I would absolutely take the full amount of time permitted if I knew it wouldn’t affect my career 2) I don’t think that taking 2+ month maternity for women would have a detrimental affect. It’s basically assumed women will take the full amount of time, it’s different for men

How long do you guys plan on taking and why? I’m thinking maybe 2 weeks. Not worth a big drop in bonus by taking more days I guess

like

At Barclays we have 6 weeks and I was basically told that it would affect my bonus if I took more than 1 week

We get 4 weeks. Interesting comment above on impacting bonus. I’ll have to ask before I take my leave in the future.

Goldman gives 4 weeks

4 weeks

16 weeks (same as maternity and adoption), but it’s rare for men to use more than 2 weeks

And that’s paid leave. We can get another 10 weeks of unpaid leave for a total of 26 weeks

Moelis 😝

Barcap is more like 12 weeks - changed about 1 year ago.

As a woman here, i have a tag-along question: if taking more time wouldnt affect your bonus/pay/promote-ability.. would you take the full time given by your firm? And do you think that taking a 2+ month maternity leave actually does affect women?

It’s gonna be the Euro banks

I want to order a treadmill using well being subsidy. If I order one worth 40k, and submit its bill, will I get 25k reimbursement and the remaining 15k is out of pocket right? I'd like to order this using my husband's Amazon account and pay using his card. Will I still get reimbursed ?

I make 95k a year, paid off all my debt and now have ~40k in savings (not including 401k). Currently living at home and think I want to rent an apartment now. Was looking to buy but I’m not ready/don’t think I make enough to do so in a HCOL area. Take home pay is about $5k after taxes. Is it dumb to get an apartment with $1.8k in rent? I think I can afford it, but curious to hear thoughts from others.

Unique situation: When enrolling in benefits, I noticed they said “these benefits selection would begin January 1st 2022”. I’m currently 25yo and turn 26 in a week, so I was going to enroll now during open enrollment. However, I’ve accepted another job that starts January 10th…how does this all work? If I enroll now, will I essentially not be covered for Nov/Dec? Also, is it worth selecting the most expensive ($260/mo) POS plan, or the cheapest ($120/mo) high deductible? I require monthly meds.

Life / Career Advice: I applied to medical school since my MCAT score was set to expire, ended up getting into 1 program. I also have an opp to join a well funded/well established Healthtech Startup (6 figure salary w/ equity + benefits) as a BD professional. I enjoy the business side of things and am unsure if I would end up practicing Medicine (medicine is also a long arduous path). At the same time, having an MD holds a lot of clout/authority in HC. Any thoughts on what I should do?

Newbie to healthcare here with a very basic question: if a provider stores medical records electronically, and a patient requests those records to be sent via mail, is it still considered ePHI/EHI? In other words, is it the way the data is maintained rather than the method of transmission? (Asking in context of new Information Blocking rule)

Post-Covid, I just cannot seem to find the inspiration to network at a conference such as the AWS DC summit. I initially wanted to get facetime with vendors to check out potential job openings. But it just feels like a large circle jerk where no productive work gets done. And besides all keynote addresses are recorded and available online anyway. Wondering if anyone out there feels differently or has had better experiences from these events? #aws
