Which industries/companies pay for additional education and how does one go about getting it? I know this can be common with firms putting people through law school but what else?

I can tell you off the top of my head that Intel and BoA both do!

USAA (insurance/banking) has around 6K per year available for employees to use tax-free for certain approved educational costs. The list of options is long and includes most well known industry certificates. Also college tuition in certain cases. It's a great benefit.

Usually I try to look for companies that have tuition reimbursement specifically outlined in the benefits section. A lot of tech companies and consulting firms will generally have this benefit if not listed

There's a lot of government jobs that pay for higher education. i would look at working a job ther.e

I'm really here just so I can check the listing. In our company, they offer slots for certain seminars/classes/workshops. I wonder what other options are there.

Been working at my company as a new grad for almost a year, but don’t see myself in the team that I am in (working with Salesforce) for long term. Interested in frontend dev and have been learning on my own. Manager says chase doesnt have much React opportunities. Is it possible to make a switch when I barely have experience? Are there companies that will hire by seeing that I am willing to learn and am interested in frontend even tho I don’t have much experience with it yet?

Pivoting away from Sales: I’ve been in sales positions for 15 years, and I’m just exhausted by the role (disputing commissions, arguing about deals, all of it). Can anyone provide any advice, or has anyone successfully moved away from sales?

I would like to hit fire between 40-50. Currently 27, 185k total comp (125 for me and 60 for partner). Like my job don’t hate it don’t love it. Does an MBA make sense? I’m guessing it could take me to 170ish with that schools I’m looking at but wondering if the 40-50 retirement range makes an mba not make sense since I’d only have 10-20 years to save vs 12-22.

Would have to finance the whole thing myself. Current net worth is 140k. Thoughts?

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

Hi everyone, I got hired on as entry level sales operations role back in January. It quickly turned into sales, and eventually all the sales for the small company once the head of sales left. I am happy to take on the additional role for my company, and they are going to let me. But they feel that without multiple people in a sales department the title head of sales might not be the best title. I have input in what my updated position title and salary would be.
