And job security, as there are lots of new about lay offs in the industry from product based organisations mainly, will Telstra be safe to join.

How many days need to come to office, and what are the work timings.

I asked for revised compensation from infosys based on parallel offer letter and got below response:
Compensation is determined for various roles, based on the competency and the experience a candidate comes in with. We also look at ensuring parity amongst any other internal employee with similar competency.  Considering these facts, we will not be in position to change compensation.
Please advise how to negotiate further.

Which strategy is better?

#1 - The first tactic I learned for salary negotiation is to give them a # and act like you will walk away if it's not met. I forget the details, but something like even if they give you a lower #, you still stick to your #.

#2 - You can also give them a # and they may come back with a lower # and you can take it or leave it.

#3 - A new coach told me about giving a range. He said if you give them a #, they may flat out say no.

Can't they say no to any of these?

Hi people. My spouse has 11 YOE in Java (backend) with 15 lpa ctc and NP of 90 days. Uploaded CV 3 weeks ago on Naukri for job change. Has worked in two companies and has been a consistent performer.

While there have a few calls till now, many are on third-party payrolls. There have been mails direct from HRs asking for resume but no response after that. Over other calls, quoted 100% hike expectation given current low salary.

Plan is to split extra cash between these to have better tax advantage from 401(k) but also have access to funds if needed from brokerage acct
