Which one is better as a preliminary experience to break into fp&a. 4-5 years in accounting or auditing

Auditing doesn't teach you much about actual accounting. On the other hand, a few years of big 4 audit experience could land you a manager role

like

Unless you’re talking about high growth tech companies the vast majority of CFOs come from FP&A or accounting. I was bored one day and looked up 100 different F500 CFOs backgrounds and 80% came from FP&A/accounting. Most were at the company for 15+ years and just worked their way up

like

As someone who made the jump to FP&A after 4 years of big 4 audit, I think the biggest benefits were the work ethic and attention to detail that audit instills in you. FP&A is definitely a different animal but you can fill in the knowledge gaps over time if you have a solid foundation and willingness to learn.

However what im worried is after 2 years would interviewers expect me to have handled a project all alone and acted as a product owner. Thats what i sense once i have 10 YOE, if i switch it would be 6th company, (2 years break due to MBA ofcourse)

Hi guys,

I switched 20 days back to Optum. I have 7 years of experience working as a full stack Engineer, who is passionate working on both front end and back end on latest technologies. But my project is working only on back end with 10 years old tech stack. There is no front end work at all. What should I do?
I don't like working here at all, but I am not sure whether moving out again in a month will give bad Impression on my resume. Hence please give me advice on this situation

Hello Folks,
Can you pls advise on which company to go for.
R-Systems : They are providing WFH + clarity on the project and team for which I’ll be working upon.
CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community.
HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two.
R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC.
YOE ~8
Skill set : . Net full stack + Angular + Azure

Thanks
