The level below manager. At Deloitte, that’d be a Senior Consultant. Some other places call it a Senior Associate. Others, some other name variation. Generally, Consulting Manager = VP elsewhere.

Insurance, sales, and some other finance industry organizations inflate the VP title. At some companies like Marsh and CVS, VPs/“Account Executives” usually have 3-5 years of experience

like

AVP in Insurance/Finance would be Manager at EY.

Signed an offer with another consulting firm. Linkedin recruiter got back to me for an interview with a role I’m interested in but the pay will be 10k less base and most likely a much lower TC. Been wanting to exit to tech but the other consulting firm seem ok. I feel like tech interviews are harder to come by. Should I just settle and decline the LinkedIn interview?

Morning Fish. Looking for some hive-mind advice. I applied for a great FAANG role a couple of weeks ago, which was fully remote. I was contacted for an interview, and since applying, the listing has changed to their NY or CA office, which I can't do (relocation not an option). Should I do the interview anyway, or withdraw but ask to be considered should further similar remote roles come up?

After several years in consulting I completely lost all hobbies - found my life has been pretty much working + catching on sleep + trying to spend time with my spouse and child. I am in a good place financially; don’t love the job that much but also don’t hate it except being busy. I also have no idea what else I should do if I change job. Sometimes I think I am too pathetic- but most of the time I don’t even have time to think about it. Anyone else like this? Anyone has any suggestions?
