I have a weird experience with KPMG India . Two weeks ago I had salary negotiation with the HR manager. He told me that the offer will be released in a couple of days but I haven't received the offer letter yet.I tried reaching out to the HR manager but didn't receive any response. Shall I take it as no?

Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Interned with Kearney prior to the pandemic, loved it and was so excited to come back. Start full time during the pandemic and I feel like a contract worker more than an employee.

I do think people are just burned out for what it’s worth, at the moment - it’s a bit of a distortion. In an existential challenge for the industry, it’s tough as a t2 with people trading up to MBB or leaving for FAANG. Leadership has lagged in decisive action so far but at least some degree of hope they will resolve a variety of challenges.
Kearney getting absolutely torched in this thread, and well deserved

This is not the firm you are looking for
We’re dropping like flies. Mainly driven by awful WLB, comp issues, and generally uninventive leadership
Definitely not Kearney
Unfortunately correct 😔

The fact that AL persists with this is ...questionable
We think that our friendly culture still is a USP, but in reality other firms have long surpassed us. What remains is an organization with a lack of leadership, pressure on mid ranks to fill the void left by partners, lack of role models, and a highly risk-averse culture that is neither daring nor truly addressing the issues ...
Avoid Kearney
Not us
DEFINITELY not us. Hoping to be ex Kearney soon.
There have been some rumors on FB here about some changes coming in at Kearney, but TBH, its been tough the last year as a fresh associate: compounding factors with the pandemic + work grind + lack of firm support outside of "soft initiatives" (think new internal web page with links to articles) while most other firms MBB, some T2) provided WFH support like meal expenses, WFH equipment allowance etc
Altman Solon beyond 12 hrs but I believe that’s just with every other consulting firm
I actively dissuade people from joining kearney. If consulting is gonna be tough, I’d rather be at a top firm or a firm with better pay. Avoid kearney like the plague.
Ditto.
OW is doing very well. In short we continued supporting our clients during the first wave and this is now paying off.
WFH is tough on culture but we have a lot of online events (which are not nearly as good as in-person but better than nothing) + in-person events are planned to kick off again soon

Thanks for an actual answer, great to hear culture is doing well

PwC has done pretty good by its employees. We are short staffed now because we sold an absurd amount of work in the first half, but otherwise they have been good.
Kearney just announced raises for America. Amount were pretty solid and varied across ranks. Won’t solve wlb issues but this is a strong step
My unit is americas but not US :( we’ll see if we get some news this week.

Okay I guess you can participate too Mck? But you gotta play by the rules ...
Major attrition problems at ACN strat right now also. We are hiring aggressively and leadership are being vocal about recognizing the problem.
So - right now things are fine as they are dangling carrots in front of those of us who are still here, but they could certainly get better (namely comp)

S& is solid
Can confirm. Highly supportive teams and leaders/partners
Wow this is sad to see. I’m a bit late to reply as I don’t frequent fishbowl much. The pandemic has definitely been tough and I’ve had some difficult moments both personally and professionally. I am sure starting in the pandemic was very hard for many, regardless of firm. There is always more we can be doing to improve but I still find Kearney to be a great place. Nearly all of the partners I have worked for are thoughtful, respectful and supportive. My colleagues are genuinely awesome people that I enjoy hanging out with outside of work, which says a lot. Yes I miss travel and team dinners, but my colleagues and partners have been there for me this part year through thick and thin, and to me, that level of solidarity says more about our culture than anything else!
35-40?
Oops yes 🙈
