Interned with Kearney prior to the pandemic, loved it and was so excited to come back. Start full time during the pandemic and I feel like a contract worker more than an employee.

I do think people are just burned out for what it’s worth, at the moment - it’s a bit of a distortion. In an existential challenge for the industry, it’s tough as a t2 with people trading up to MBB or leaving for FAANG. Leadership has lagged in decisive action so far but at least some degree of hope they will resolve a variety of challenges.

I hear terrible things about LEK. But that’s just gossip.

What what OW? I’ve seen comments that OW doesn’t pay as much as EYP but I saw EWPs ranges and they seem pretty inline with OWs

Still the same OW. But feel free to DM me if useful (principal « home-grown », worked with teams from most European offices). Cheers

This thread went in an unexpected direction. I guess nobody is doing anything culturally great in T2 at the moment. Or it’s just pretty brutal everywhere.

like

K8, you are doing a really hard sell on your firm. It is annoying. Take a break.

funny

When I signed up at Kearney I was under the impression it was one of the more prestigious T2 firms, however, comp is lower than that of even Deloitte which I found very surprising.

like

We concentrate on a few m7s… your point?

I guess it depends on the region.

I don’t think this super negative image is justified for DACH. There are a lot of things to improve and the COVID situation is still a major challenge but this is just too negative here.

DACH also had WFH stipend and care packages a full year ago right?

Update on Accenture strat — pay raises were not what folks were hoping for. Essentially just made up for the losses we all took last year but no real increases. Folks are less than happy.

What are the annual pay raises usually if you aren’t getting promoted?

Read a comment on Glassdoor in 2014/ 15, where someone said Partners/ Principals/ Manager cross the line of subordinate versus slaves at Kearney. Seems like it is still same story there.

Uh, no?

Hello,

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Will vs Trust:

Which do you use (if any estate planning) and why? Recently talked with a layer on getting a will and they are trying to steer me to a trust.

Demographics for ref: 30, live in GA, unmarried, no kids, no real estate (yet, planning to buy after market cools). I don’t envision I’ll amass a ton of physical assets over my life so really just need to say where my various $ accts go (401k, pension, IRA, etc)

Trust cost was $2,900. Didn’t give price for will.
