I'd move to the firm that gives me back 600 hours of my life a year (if you factor in both the billable req and the time you save on commuting). With your productivity you can do well with bonuses. You get to decide though if you want to work some or all of that extra 600 hours or chill out and have a great life.
Good point, thanks.
Move. That 300 hour cut for billables + more money sounds amazing
Just based on commute and WFH status, first firm. Agree, too much math lmao.
I agree with AA1, and add that the significant increase in your hourly rate means more earning potential for you down the road. (Unless you’re suddenly pricing yourself out of your clientele. But any clients who would balk at $435/hour are probably not the most desirable clients anyway.)
Chief
It doesnt seem like you make bonus at second firm and you're also not making your hours, by a lot! I'd maybe take the new job because you might get fired from your current position.

Talk normal dude
New firm sounds like a win win win when it comes to lower billable requirement, much shorter commute, and easier bonus structure! Why are we hesitating?

I would hop
Moving seems like a no brainer with these two options. What info are we missing that would make you hesitant?
* I have had.
If you’re a senior attorney like your title suggests, these are very low offers even for the hours. I wouldn’t take any of them.
Very happy for you.
Lots of numbers. Do use a favor and do the likely calculations and provide any other considerations here.
