Who would you trust to cover a 3 month controller leave at year end?

I'm currently working as a small business controller but need to take maternity leave in a few months. My boss asked me which firm we should go through to find coverage and honestly, I don't know. It's been 5+ years since I worked with the various accounting staffing firms. My previous experience had such mixed results but a lot can change.

Crowe offers outsourced solutions for short term engagements like this. I’m not on that tram, but they’ve done good work on engagements like this.

like

Thank you! I'll definitely look into Crowe as an option.

Agree with RSM, do you have retired controller contacts who would be interested in a short term contract?

I work at Riveron and our firm has an interim management service line that specializes in filling roles exactly like this with highly experienced professionals that have worked at the Big 4 or have public company experience. Feel free to DM me and we can chat further there!

I’m no longer with EY, I moved over to a smaller firm that specializes in these services. We will send you resumes of a few candidates that will be a good fit, you can interview any that interest you. Then we can get them staffed on the engagement early so you can run through 1-2 month ends with them there so the transition is smooth. We are almost 100% Ex B4 and have a great reputation. I’ll send you a DM in case you’re interested in getting more details.

like

Ah, it won't let me DM you either

like

Dm me, I know that our firm specializes in filling in for such roles

I’m pretty sure we’re very competitive, and all ex big 4. We definitely have a bunch of clients that are large - but also many that aren’t. If you’d like we can set up a call and I can give actual numbers.

I've been an interim controller and CFO for a couple small businesses and may be able to help. Please feel free to DM me (I would but don't have ability to).

CLA can handle this - feel free to send me a PM

Baker Tilly does this as well. I am currently a fractional Controller as a client is in re-alignment.

I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I've been on the fence about whether I should stay and hope to be staffed on better projects in the future or leave soon...

Hi, new to this bowl.

Looking for a new role leading a PM and/or ops team. I'm an agency (media & creative) vet - depth in digital, crm, creative, tech, data, & process dev/deploy.

Have also worked ~4 years transforming / running ops at Kimbery-Clark's Digital COE and ~a year on web & digital projects at NYU Langone Medical Center.

Do IH agencies have substantial PM teams / need for leadsrship? I know many need operations & process enhancement.

Any specific roles on anyone's radar?

Thx!
