For the people against extended coronavirus unemployment aid - if you’re worried about people being able to make more from not working, doesn’t that tell you those earning the least don’t make enough to get by?

It's abundantly clear now that the federal government has too much power. More power should be returned to the states so that individuals in one part of the country with one set of values don't impose on individuals with different values elsewhere.

Smaller federal government would both heal political division and weaken the leaches of special interests and lobbyists.

Seeking feedback on GAP insurance. I had a family member who purchased a car in June or July. They were in an accident last week and it sounds like the car will be declared a total loss. Never dealt with this before, so wanted to ask if anyone has ever had an instance where the insurance didn't cover the outstanding balance of the loan and the insured then owed money? Car was $35k, $7k down, finance $28k. Gap insurance is through lender, not auto insurer.

I have two accepted offers with PwC next summer and would love to do both if the dates don't overlap (internship and a Masters fellowship). I was told that even if the dates don't overlap when they are announced sometime next year, I may still not be able to do both because of reasons related to the firm?
If this is the case then I may have look for another internship that I can do before the fellowship.

I joined EY in January. Had no work all of January, but was busy for February and some of March. I have been unassigned for about 4 weeks now, sending availability emails to all of the service lines we are allowed to reach out to for work. I should not have come here 🤦🏼‍♂️ I know it’s nice to have some down-time, but when every day is staring at a computer, the days are SO long.

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.
