I am looking a salary reality check here. I am a dev lead\architect (no direct reports but lead a team of 3.) I rarely go over 40 hours and most of time I'm under 40. I like that. But I'm only at 135k base with a 10k bonus. I have 20 YOE and have worked here for 10 years. We only get a 3.5% raise annually. I am trying to figure if it's worth moving for. Level.fyi is showing up into the 400s but thats at FAANG. I've seen 200 base in other places. How bad off am I? I'm in Texas.

1st year. I have a decent amount of client email/phone interaction. One partner frequently asks me to communicate with clients, and the partner tells me to ask if I have any questions before emailing the client.

I almost always respond to the partner with my thoughts and ask partner whether P agrees with my thoughts, prior to emailing client. At what point should I be skipping that step and just email client? I’m worried about making a mistake, but most of the time P agrees with my “draft”

on the way to an interview this morning eating a sandwich. I walked past a homeless man who had a stray cat perched on his lap.
