How did he get over his apparent aversion to Black men enough to go and marry one? Where would he be if he hadn't had a change of heart?

I impulsively spent $400 on concert tickets before I left my last job. Now I’m entering my third month at a new job and I’m worried it’s too early to take off to go. At the very least I would have to sign off an hour or two early to be able to make it on time. But I feel awkward asking because generally I wouldn’t take off this early. My uncle I met a week ago suddenly died. He hid his heart condition from his wife, my aunt. He was having tea in the morning when he had a stroke. She did not have a last word or consider the possibility that he’d pass away so suddenly and soon. She is beating herself up over how he left and they didn’t have a chance to talk that morning. Fishes, sharing this so you call your loved ones today and not take people for granted.

I need to let it out but I’m so fucking proud of myself and I just realized how lucky I got and it took me until just now to see it. I started in the military and it only took 2 months for me to get out and fall into a bottomless hole of depression. My transition went from: $13 an hour part time, separation with the wife, new job at $18 an hour for physical labor, hit with disability diagnosis, then $20 an hour new office job, reconnecting with wife, having 2nd kid, nearly divorcing (cont.)
