Perhaps you need to think about how little they are paid. Don’t expect white glove service from someone who is paid $3 to deliver your food unless you tip well.

Actual food delivery would be nice. And if it’s not worth their time to do the job, don’t agree to do it.
I agree with EY1. I get Uber Eats quite frequently for my morning Starbucks coffee. The order, itself, costs about $19.00 because I put a ton of pumps of flavor in my coffee, and then I tip $7.50. So my coffee costs me about $26.00, and I get it in 15-20 minutes. And they bring it to my door. I tip really well all the time because I know most people don’t or don’t tip at all. I appreciate someone delivering something to me.

Yes, I appreciate it actually being delivered as well. That’s the key though, isn’t it, actually delivering? You and EY1 would be happy with not receiving anything 1/3 of the time? That’s what I face for a simple residential address.
