Quick qstn - I'm receiving HRA of 24075 from my employer but I would like dhow the rent paid as 96k p.a (while filing ITR). Even if I do so, I was only able to get exemption of 24075 from gross. Checking if we can speak to payroll department to increase Actual HRA since I'm actually paying more rent than compared. Will I be able to do so ?Deloitte Newco EY Accenture Genpact KPMG

People are stupid
I've made thousands a year on bonuses for several years but there are some limitations.
There are only so many worth doing and usually you need to wait a year or two before doing the same ones again. My personal threshold is at least $150 more than I'd get just holding the cash in a 5% account. For example Citi has a $200 for $10k held three months deal which is better than $125 interest but not with the hassle. Chase has a similar offer but it is $900 for $15k and DD which to me would be worth it.
Even if you are doing bank bonuses you'll still want the best HYSA/MMF rate for the rest of your cash. The bonuses are usually tied to a certain dollar amount. If your balance fluctuates you may have trouble keeping that minimum or have way more and you don't want that sitting in a .01% account. Also, many of the bonuses are for direct deposit so you could be collecting those without regard to your cash balance.
