Bain & Company Contemplating a move from Accenture Strategy to Strategy&, or Monitor Deloitte. Part of my consideration is the assumption that WLB is likely to be better than at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company. Could any of you fellow European fishies shed some light on the validity of this assumption? Sharing experiences would be highly appreciated.

Definitely talk to your manager. Nominations come out in January.
Onshore utilisation has certainly improved a lot. (I don't have any numbers but I wanted to staff someone onshore that there wasn't any availability, which is a good indication). Considering this, ZS would reopen transfers. But there will still be a lot of considerations before approving it. Your clients need to love you and demand for you. That's the best justification for a transfer.
P.S. I got transferred in 2023, hence a lot of this is first hand information.
OP, you should think about few other points as well:
1. You need a 'sponsor' for this move. Not using this as a legal term for visa, but more like a P who is vested in your success. If you have utilisation problems, have a bad cycle, etc. you need someone who has your back.
2. Are you married or planned to get married? Your partner can't work in the US on dependent visa.
3. How many years of experience do you have? If you can convince your team to get L1, your life will get much easier. Maybe even worth waiting a couple of years for it. With L1, your spouse can work on dependent visa (without EAD), chances of getting a visa and renewing it are way better and if you are interested, you can get a green card in 2 years. Even other small benefits come with L1. For example, without any credit history, no bank was approving a car loan for me. But Toyota has a special financing program for L1.
I would suggest don't blindly come to US. Earning in dollars is amazing, but the standard of living is not always as high as what a good salary gets you in India. Happy to discuss the pros and cons with you if you need help.
