That’s incredible! Congratulations on your health journey! Mentally I am way healthier now than I was just out of college , but I exercise so much less than I used to. I think I mostly eat healthier, but I feed more people these days and they don’t all love vegetables 😂. My goal for the new year is to find exercise I love! I was a runner and swimmer throughout high school and college and I’d love to get back into something I enjoyed that much!

I love getting in the pool. Our YMCA has Aqua Zumba and Water Aerobics. It makes it so much fun to get into the pool.
That is amazing MSBT! What an accomplishment! I am much healthier now. Over the last 2 years, I have lost 40 pounds. The biggest shift for me was a mindset shift. I have learned so much about having a healthy relationship with myself, positive ways of stress management, healthier attitudes toward food, and discovering the powerful benefits of yoga. There have been a lot of ups and downs along the way but I feel so much healthier in every way- physically, emotionally, and mentally. For me the whole process has been in my head- with changing old thought patterns and not making excuses for choices that I make. This year, I am changing my focus away from losing weight to building strength and flexibility as well as learning more about proper nutrition to support my overall health and well being. 🧘🥗

I think so much of it us the mindset. It is so difficult to change the mental aspect of how we see ourselves and our progress.

That’s awesome OP! Huge congratulations!!
I fully understand, as I had bariatric surgery last May and have lost 113 pounds, it is much easier to get around & my knees no longer hurt like they did before.

It is an amazing journey. Not necessarily an easy journey-but neither is being overweight and in pain all the time.
