Recruiting for full time Big 4 consulting/transaction work. Trying to check understanding. Can someone give a good breakdown/resources for pre vs post transaction work, lifestyle, and challenges?
Is it normal for teams to lose it on each other on a regular basis? I’m fairly new to the B4 and never experienced it at former firms. It starts at the top and it’s starting to take a toll on my performance. Not sure if I need to suck it up and deal with it or start thinking about changing teams. TIA
Looking to return to Big 4 as a consultant now that I have some experience; however, I’m not sure if the reason I’m not getting any interviews is because of covid or what’s on my resume/lack thereof. Has anyone gotten hired at Big 4 during this time and have any help or insight for me? Thanks!
For those having rentals in India. How you handling when the tenant is disagreeing to pay rents due to covid even though they are employed with big 4 and have no compensation impact? They are not budging. Any guidance how to deal?
What is it like being a partner ? What kind of life do you guys have ? Skill sets that can bring you to the top and things which can break your career ? I am currently a senior and wonder is it worth the grind ? At BIG 3 people become partners in like 10 years or so but big 4 it’s more like 15-17. Would it be worth hustling for it grinding 13 hours days consistently for years to become a partner at like 40-42? PwC Deloitte EY Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company
I passed my CPA exams, waiting for my license now, will take about 4-5 months. Should I look for a new job now or wait for my license, aiming for B4 audit senior.
Does Big 4 hires H1-B transfers for the positions that they originally don’t hire someone for who would go through H1-B lottery?

Shall I consider pwc as It's a part of BIG 4 and other facilities and brand-value or capegemini/Cerner india (the pay scale will be higher most probably) Thanks in advance.

Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
Why does everyone put Tech / FAANG on such a pedestal, claiming it’s better than MBB. Sure, the comp and WLB may be better, but you won’t be doing as meaningful and impactful work e.g. Govt Covid response, Gates foundation projects, industry defining projects in the space of a few months etc
tips on how to speed up a hiring process? I’ve interviewed (final round with a huge panel in-person after also Skyping and whatnot before). No word yet except that they’re still waiting for feedback
We had new neighbors move in across the street a few months ago. A couple with a child of about 7 years old who clearly has a cognitive disability of some sort (I suspect autism). I’m becoming concerned about him. He seems to spend a good amount of time alone outdoors. He often flags down passers by to chat. I thought perhaps his parents kept an eye on him through the window, but today he was hanging on a neighbor’s front stoop for a good half hour. I went over to talk to him and see if (con’t)
I hate the city I live in but I love my agency. Since we’ve been wfh for months (and it looks like the rest of the year) I want to ask if I can continue to work remote so I can move somewhere I’m happy. Thoughts on how to approach management?
Hello, Im a special Ed teacher and new to AZ. Is there a good teachers credit union anyone can suggest? Thank you
Meeting with a recruiter at one of the FAANG companies. I won’t be able to move jobs because of H1b /GC at least for the next year. Any idea if I should start off with that or should I just try to understand the work that they have been doing?

For those who’ve used TTP Verbal. Approx. how many hours did it take you to complete all lessons/get through the material? For additional context, Started studying 8/30 and I’m 33% through the Quant material (includes all readings, questions throughout the readings, and some of the “easy”practice tests. I have 7 weeks of studying left so trying to plan how much time I can leave for verbal. Thanks!
Should I stop depositing into my 401k?
Seeking portfolio advice. 23 years old- 95k comp, 20k currently in market through the most basic Schwab index funds and Vanguard ETF’s, already max out 401k & IRA. My returns over the past year have been meager. I want to take on more risk and pick more concentrated investments. Whatever I go with, I want to hold them for the long run with no intention to sell. Any advice?
Am I wasting my time staying in consulting if my goal is to become a pm in tech? This is my first job out of college, only have 6 months of experience. Im not sure if I should start applying for roles now or stick it out for another year or two
