Hello fellow Fishes I have an offer from persistent. Need some clarity on same. I want to know the grade system in persistent. What does 7.1 mean? Is 7.1 a right fit for an total experience of 10+ years? What is the appropriate CTC for an architect designation? I want to know if I am getting it as per experience.

Pay is most likely lower but I think WLB is better. If you enjoy seeing properties then valuation would be good since you’ll see more of them.
I made this pivot last year and have really enjoyed it. I was in banking (a Midwest bank) and didn’t se a future there. Now I’m at a Big 4 in their valuations group.
they are referencing a different type of valuation. RE valuation for FR purposes. That is why there is a “busy season”.
What function is your role at the lender? Also what type of lender, e.g. bank, conduit, debt fund, etc.? If client facing / originations I would assume appraisal & valuations would be a step down pay-wise. Work life balance should be better though.
DON'T DO IT! Well ok, maybe do it now given the current environment but start away from bank work and avoid working on a fee basis. Big 4 is a good move if you're going to go real estate Valuation/appraisal but try not to get stuck in it for too long.
