70,000 points is worse roughly $1400. You can get a credit card that gets you access to the Lounge for $450 a year...

like

D2 Definite overvaluing (AA miles are probably closer to 1.5cpp) but the recommendation is definitely correct. None of the mileage costs are worth it for lounge access for a legacy airline

70k for a year? If you fly regularly, and aren't racing for the plane most of the time, then sure.

I like it to have a quiet(er) place for calls while in transit so if you end up going once/week or so I think there's value

Nope

Oooooh @D2 very good point. Nvm! Haha thanks

What CC gives you admirals?

Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ MasterCard® - you get some MQM's and some other perks too for $450

Based off of the TPG post I read, it sounds like citi is the best deal while the AAdvantage card might make sense if I'm trying to max out my mileage accrual. If only there were EQMs involved past the sign on bonus!

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

LinkedIn is a biggest professional social network. But everything is not perfect. Curious to understand your pain points on this platform.
