Issue with taxes/insurance.
100% sure. You have to get formal approval and it’s limited. Don’t do it. Stop asking if you can do it and get away with it. I’m tired of taking extra ethics trainings, can people just do the right thing… please?
I’d reach out to HR. Risky prop. One of my friends went back to Saudi Arabia for a month and asked if he could work from there but it was a hard no for some legal reasons. Not sure how it works but definitely an HR question. If they say no just keep asking different partners and HR people lol
There’s a whole policy on the portal outlining this - called Working Abroad in a Foreign Jurisdiction (or something to that effect). Depending on what service line, could be severe consequences if not approved (eg: work in audit/consulting/federal job and taking client data out of the country). If it’s a non client related job, not as strict measures. But the concern is also if your laptop breaks/stolen etc and you abroad, always best to let the firm know beforehand.
Well yeah, when you book your time you have to put your location lol. I wouldn’t risk lying about that on your time sheet
