I'm working in Tata Consultancy for last 9months. I got allocated to Deployment team in Kolkata. I'm a quick learner and it was my mistake to learn everything so quickly. I've been forced to work for 12hrs at least regularly. Also, I've been providing night support daily for production (yes!! Production is happening daily) but I'm not getting any overtime pay. My manager is not responding to my mails regarding my dues. What shall I do?? Will HR help me? I'm demotivated and I want to resign. 😞

32 hour workweek with no change in salary.
-Off Fridays 4/10s
- 3 days WFH, 1 in office day a week
- accrued vacation days
- paid holidays, paid off week at the end of the year
My new job has two hours flex which I like. It's hard working M-F and scheduling doctor appointments and life in general.
Fully remote. 4/10s, off on Fridays plus all other nice perks. It’s really hard out here.
Being remote and only coming into the office if needed for collaboration/planning, flexible hours (being able to start late/early or step out as needed for dental/doctor appointments and make up the time instead of using PTO), and the option to have a 4/80 (4-10 hour days/week) work schedule to allow one weekday to get errands done. Aside from client/carrier meetings, most of our planning/desk work can be done outside of business hours. For me, flexible scheduling would make the biggest impact for WLB. The majority of my PTO is used for dental/doctors appointments for myself or kids instead of actual rest/recuperation time. My employer doesn’t have a sick PTO bank either so the ability to actually take a vacation feels nonexistent.
100% remote. Max once a quarter in person meetings/collaboration days. Asynchronous work as default. I think that could still be combined with the reduced workweek. Either 4/10’s or the 32 hour workweek at full salary. Folks could still put in their “workday” on Outlook (is that a thing on Google?) to ensure others schedule at reasonable times.
Quarterly bonuses, or at least semi-annual, rather than the annual bonus. That is a lot of tension riding on one day/one decision a year. That impacts your lowest paid employees the most because money is tightest for them.
I’d like less expensive insurance. Mine costs me over 250 a month just for me.
