I had referred my friend in CTS, who joined in Feb 2022 & will complete 3 months (active payroll) on 15-May-2022. I received a mail confirming my referral acceptance.
Meanwhile, I have handed in my papers & am serving my notice period with my LWD being 23-May-2022. In this case, will I receive the referral bonus?

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

It’s a smart move. Understanding what “good” looks like in their eyes helps you decide if the rewards they promise are actually within reach. I always ask how goals are set and who evaluates them. It’s not just about trust, it’s about transparency.
Just be aware that in some places, the performance bar is adjusted (mostly always raised), based on comparison to peers at your level. The end result is that your output and contributions to the company mean less if you end up at the bottom of the stack. So raises and/or bonuses are less or nonexistent. Worst case is you get pipped or put on a coaching plan, in effect putting you out the door or in a hole that may not be achievable to climb out of.
Nothing will help in my country due to the number of expats which most of the major companies are hiring them here

Absolutely. If you could break down how much more money you're making for the company. Compared how much you've cost to company since your hire date. (Think about it the probably the first few weeks you cost the company money via training and everything else.
