Titles don't matter - care about the experience and comp.

like

Depends how many years you've invested in consulting

They asked and I said $100k base (at 82 now). Wish I had asked for more. Ugh

like

That's a good bump

like

The role would basically be managing the entire deal process. They said they'd expect to have 1-3 new leads a day

like

Sounds like sweet exposure, I'd totally take that role

like

Say 2.5 years.

Yes.

Yes.

*if it was associate

It's an "analyst" role in title, but it's a brand new group. There's basically only analyst, manager, VP running the entire group.

I know I'm really psyched for it. Gonna be competing during the upcoming on site interview with 7-10 others. Have to figure out a strategy to set myself apart.

And when I say "they expect to have" 1-3 leads a day, that means me finding them. Haha

Go for it! Good luck.

I work on a small 4 person remote team- 2 peers and our manager. My 2 peers were recently hired and started in February this year. I actually trained them since I have held that position (Manager). I have been at the company for 6 years and moved to a Sr. IC role. My skip-level was previously my direct manager. My manager told us about a plan to meet up in person this summer for team building. It slipped in a meeting today that everyone but me is included in going. More in comments.

I’m currently at a medium sized tech startup. I was interviewing for a role that would be a bump in pay and title at a multinational public F50 company. At first, the hiring manager and head of legal were very complementary about my experience. Almost too much so. After a week of interviews with the team (softball-esq), I was informed that if I wanted to join, they would bring me on at a lower title. I’m not sure about comp yet. But if comp is still an increase + experience at a public..

Hi! I started at a new company 2 months ago and while I’m really enjoying my job so far, I’m having a hard time gauging whether or not I’m doing a “good job.” My role seems to be always evolving, which is fine and I actually enjoy being a support to the greater marketing team, but I feel like I need better defined targets to make sure I’m meeting expectations. Also, when I ask my boss what they’d like to see, I don’t ever get a clear answer. (Cont’d in comments)

Hi everyone!
I work at a big med tech company as product manager. I have multiple markets under my responsibility. I am turning 30 in few weeks and I hold an MBA.
Currently I am earning 73k gross yearly in Belgium. I feel that I settled for less than what this role could have given. What should I do? Is this a good average salary for product managers? I need to negotiate a raise but manager is greedy and difficult
Any advice is appreciated 👏

Hey Everyone!
I’m coming up on one year of working in consulting post under grad in a financial services vertical. I know I want to transition to corporate strategy down the road, but don’t have much interest in financial service strategy. Should I try and switch into a more applicable practice such as M&A or operations? Will I be able to break into corporate strategy without any past experience in that industry? I want to avoid getting pigeonholed into FS, but with COVID, don’t want to leave.

Weekly Hot take. I didnt find Breath of the wild all that amazing. It's a good game I find it fun but don't like the shrines compared to dungeons. It just felt like an extended tech demo alot of the times. The world was kinda empty compared to some other OWGs. Specify compared to skyrim since one selling point was the map is 4x as big as skyrim's.
