Hi, did anybody ever experience wrong tax calculations by JPMC Payroll/tax team ? Or is there any specific month where they deduct more tax. Huge amount of tax deduction is done for Oct payout. From my CA’s calculation the amount deducted by JPMC team looks wrong. Anybody experienced this?

Are you young? Does losing that 5K make you unable to fund your retirement accounts as desired? How many years would it add to funding your initial house fund?
Me personally I spent my first two years out of college and a super boring city and recently moved to a city an hour north that is much more interesting and I am loving my life. I have the same job and now I have to commute three days a week, which sucks. Rent and drinks and food here are more expensive. But I don’t plan on staying in this area of the United States for more than another two years, so for the two years that I am here, I think it is 100% worth it.
Another thing to consider, is if it is a more interesting city, chances are there are probably more interesting jobs there as well if you intend to stay for a while and you could eventually start making quite a bit more
Better bars, night life, young professionals to date, music events, etc. all of these are things that are pretty important to my lifestyle and for that reason, this was 100% a great choice for me.
Unless you make over $250k, I don’t think this matters at all. In fact 2% is negligible on just about anything so I can’t really believe this is an actual question. Are you worried a dozen eggs will cost $1.52 instead of $1.49? Bonus points if you know why I chose $250k as the point…
Rereading this, I realize it sounds snarky. My apologies, I forgot I wasn’t in the Accounting bowl. If that were the case, this question would really have been pulled apart…I gave you the light version 👍
5k is actually N O T H I N G to the company paying you, $200/bi-weekly paycheck. Why can’t they meet your salary requirement? Push for that 5k and move and live your life.
