It can be difficult to understand what the value prop is without having background in HC. I would say if the leadership is good/the culture is a good fit, then the value prop you can learn. I would schedule talks with stakeholders/other people working there to learn as much as possible the earlier the better and then figure out what the value prop is. This will help you be successful and show you have a go getter attitude.
And the culture, while still forming, looks good.
Leadership is a significant factor for me, but it would also depend heavily on culture as well. Still, I'm not sure I could get behind an agency if I didn't feel confident in what they have to offer clients.
Absolutely not. If you, as someone who is arguably a precision specialist in conveying value props, can’t understand and articulate it how do you expect your audience to get it?
More importantly, how do you plan on communicating to this trusted open-minded internal team that the value prop they currently base their entire business on is weak and needs fundamental refinement?
Well, if I’m offered the job and I come on board, that’s my first job. The value prop is being obscured by the clumsy way in which its currently communicated. That’d be my first task.
