Not pissed at all.

Not at all…. allow more flexibility to work remotely and perhaps intern would have stayed. He likely would have come to office occasionally too. Your loss because this is an employee empowered market and he did what was best for his life, which your firm couldn’t accommodate.
Ahaha I love how persuasive people here are. Lawyers after all 😂
Employers who require employees to go into the office were warned for months this would happen. They chose to keep going with an outdated model regardless. I would have hesitations about the future of the firm.
I wonder if these are the responses this guy was expecting……..
Did you try to find middle ground before doing an all out return to office structure? For example did you offer once a week or twice a week in office instead of 5 days a week in office? And most importantly, did his/her production sink during WFH? If you answer no to all of these then you shouldn’t be mad at anyone, a job is a job. If you answer yes to any of these questions then you can be mad but move on because, a job is a job.
Annoyed but not pissed. It's his choice, just like it's your choice to run your firm as you please.
Not pissed at all. Be flexible and you’ll keep him.
I’m not. I’d be sad to see him go, but would wish him well.
Not even a little. Life is short, family is more important than work.
Not pissed at all. Be better lol gotta start thinking about your employees working with you and not for you. Your goal (aside from profit) should be to make sure those around you are in the best possible position to succeed. Their success will be your success. Happy employees are more profitable.
If the position has been cut for any reason I’m sure this person would feel the same
Give him remote position , of course if his duties are not going to court…
Not at all. I wish all my associates that leave the best of luck.
I echo all the sentiments in here and just had to comment to say how ridiculous this is. Employees are gaining more power and the legal industry has always been very very backwards when it comes to the treatment of employees. It’s only going to get worse for this industry if it doesn’t become more flexible.
