I just found out that people will now pay to rent your LinkedIn account! How crazy is that? I can't really imagine what benefit they could draw from using another account. I'm thinking maybe renting out LinkedIn profiles helps generate income or provide businesses with an increased reach, and credibility or a way to bypass LinkedIn restrictions. What are other's guesses?

Honestly, this felt like a really harsh truth but also just felt like a very harsh message, period. I see what he's saying and there's a point to it but is it really that simple these days? I know for sure I can't walk around with a printed CV, and the more novel approach he's talking about is what the hard part is. How do you deal with the 'right decision makers' not responding to you??

So LinkedIn just taught me that I need to work harder, not smarter. That people who enjoy 'leisure time' deserves to be poor, and have only themselves to blame for not getting to enjoy a stress-induced heart attack at 50 like the most successful people. Am I taking in the wrong lesson from this LinkedIn Evangelist? What are your thoughts on this take of his?

Who's a Severence fan here? Lumon Industries from the show is on LinkedIn. Watch people who have no idea that this is a fictional company applying to jobs here :D. Can you believe the show is using LinkedIn as part of its marketing? LinkedIn really has morphed from what it started out as.

I’ve applied to this job twice and got rejected both times, but now it’s back on the platform like nothing happened. I feel perfectly qualified, if not overqualified for this job, and it's just so disheartening that I can't even get one good reason as to why I've been rejected. Are they actually hiring, or is this just some weird ghost job game?

While posting on a networking site owned by an American company, using a smartphone from an American company, working for American clients. Dude, if you had one foot to stand on, you could take a stand but this is just cringe.

Has anyone actually found a job that respects boundaries and understands that the purpose of human life is also to 'live' and not just to work? Or is that an unrealistic expectation for this generation of workers? I'm so sick of being underpaid and overworked.

This cracked me up. Just another guy trying to boost his social cred by "taking a stand" where the stakes for him are literally zero. He's not even being offered an interview - the poor recruiter just blasted him in a bulk InMail to apply.

Why is LinkedIn posting the new space for button poetry? I genuinely want to know if any performance metrics make writing in this form help your post do better because it's all I see these days. I personally can't stand posts structured like this.. am I just being a hater? Why can't we see more where the expression is contained in a paragraph and the point is still conveyed?
