I’m getting the offer to work for client Etihad at Abu Dhabi location. Pay is good, however I’m not sure about the payroll company Xebia. Have anyone heard of Xebia? What’s their work culture like? Any specific cons?

Just flew Delta from Boston to Heathrow. Paid $300 day before flight to upgrade to premium select for the reclining seat as I wanted to try to sleep on the overnight flight. Seat didn’t recline properly and footrest would not release. Two flight attendants attempted to fix it and couldn’t. Purser on the flight filed a report. I want to file a complaint with Delta and request compensation. Should I ask for the upgrade amount to be refunded, miles?

I got 130K capital one miles, closing the account and would like to transfer to an airline but idk which one.

Moving to Germany soon and future travel plans will likely be within Europe, no idea where. I was considering parking them with Avianca (no account yet) or British Airways (have 124K already), but not sure. Maybe Singapore because their product looks amazing but have no plans to go to Asia soon.

Any tips/recommendations? TIA!

What does partner comp (structure and size) look like for boutique strategy consulting firms? I know this is very dependent on how the firm is legally structured (I.e., offers partnership equity), but curious on the delta between small and large firms.

Turkish airlines is offering me a traveler’s check for 780 Euros for some flight delays last month. This is after first offering me 25k miles and 40k miles. Should I take it or can I get more out of them? The email is worded a bit weird and states the following “ You can use this Eur 780 traveler's check to ticket payments for on Turkish Airlines flights”. Does that mean only with Turkish airlines?

Whoever the exact team at Uncommon was that did the British Airways work, bravo. First piece of actual work in a while that I even remotely felt anything for. Simple and brilliant.

Is anyone here really good with converting credit card points to airline upgrades? I have a specific question about Qantas; have ~350k points between Amex and chase that I would like to use to upgrade for a long haul. Should I book via Amex portal? Should I book economy and then use points to upgrade? TIA.

I have an expiring British Airways credit I need to use in January or February. Options are Lisbon, Paris, Rome and Athens. Anyone have thoughts on any of those in the winter/off season?

I'm coming from the US - my flight credit is use-it-or-lose-it so I'm trying not to spend much more than the original credit.

CSP or AmEx Gold?

I have the Southwest card and AmEx Blue Cash Rewards, if that’s helpful info. I would eventually love to get a good travel card like the AmEx Platinum, but right now I don’t foresee myself doing a lot of traveling, so it doesn’t make as much sense. Mostly looking for a good dining/food or every day use card.

I currently have the CSP card (have for just over a year). I’m looking to get another CC to get a signup bonus but not sure which one to get. I don’t eat out a ton but do frequent chipotle a couple times per week (don’t judge 😂). I plan on doing a few international trips next year, hopefully with United/Star Alliance network. Should I get a United CC or something else? Or should I consider more than one? If so, any ideas?

Do airlines always charge a bunch in fees when booking with points? About to spend 103k points on British airways and it’s around $850 in fees. Is this normal?

Advice please. I have 3 chase cc: Sapphire Reserve, United Explorer, and Southwest Premier (first ever cc so don’t really want to get rid of it, but thinking of downgrading to Plus). I’m well beyond Chase’s 5/24 rule (last cc was March 2019). Between me and my bf, we have almost 500,000 chase points (have used all United and SWA points). We have been hoarding points for international trips. What would be your next card if you were me? Excellent credit, not a business traveler.

Given JetBlue and AA are partnered if Spirit merged with JetBlue would that mean AA and Spirit are… partners…

Even if the Spirit name was no more I would sure hope that they would redo the furnishings.

I provided all the neccesary documents to back up my request and letters and documents from my Dr. aswell. My request was denied because the team said they wanted me to have face time and one on one interactions with people from other team (which defeats the purpose of my request) because I have to limit those interactions to reduce the risk of infection. What do I do?
