What are some things you can do when you feel like you aren’t fitting in with your team?

A creative team I started working with recently has decided to ignore my every comment. They take feedback from anyone else but me, and whenever I push them to make said changes, they just pick fights and make snarky comments. Anyone have any idea why this might be?

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. I wish the worst part about it was the amount of work, rather than the completely toxic culture, lack of appreciation, arbitrary and back/breaking deadlines, lack of mentorship/feedback/training, and the fact that the associates act like they don’t even know each other. I have accepted an offer for the role of Director of Data Science & Analytics and I'll be working with old colleagues. I am very excited. My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. I’ve spoken to a POC who says DEI feels exclusionary in her opinion, because she wants to help everyone. Have you ever worked with a POC who are not interested in the DEI initiatives?

Working at a place with less then 10% POC total. Then watched as the majority of those folks left after less than a year. This virtual work environment has reminded me how much MAIP used to anchor me to a physical sense of community.
